Korean-style pork stir fry

Ingredients

  • 30 ml (2 tbsp.) vegetable oil
  • 1 package 350 g duBreton Korean BBQ pork strips
  • 1 carrot, peeled and beveled
  • 250 ml (1 cup) broccoli florets
  • 180 ml (3/4 cup) Korean BBQ sauce
  • 5 ml (1 tsp.) sesame oil
  • 500 ml (2 cups) cooked rice
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp.) minced green onion
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp.) sesame seeds
  • 60 ml (1/4 cup) water

Preparations

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Sauté pork and cook, stirring, for about 5 minutes, until browned. Set pork aside on a plate.
  3. In the same skillet, add onion and carrot and cook until tender.
  4. Add the broccoli florets and continue cooking for about 3 minutes.
  5. Pour in the Korean sauce and sesame oil.
  6. Add water and bring to a boil.
  7. Return the pork strips to the pan and reduce the heat to low and simmer for 3 to 4 minutes.
  8. Reheat the rice and serve as an accompaniment to the stir-fry.
  9. Sprinkle with green onions and sesame seeds.
