Ingredients
- 1 pound duBreton ground pork organic or rustic farm pork (1 pkg)
- 3 green onions diced
- 1/2 cilantro minced
- 6 garlic gloves minced
- 2 tablespoons fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon sriracha (or any chili)
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 3 tablespoons oil
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- Salt
- Pepper
Pickled veggies :
- 1 large carrot peeled and julienned
- 1 daikon peeled and julienned
- 1/2 cup rice vinegar
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- Salt for taste
Spicy mayo :
- 1/2 kewpie mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sriracha (or any chili)
Banh mi :
- Baguette
- Cilantro
- Jalapeños
Preparations
- In a large bowl add all ingredients and mix throughly.
- Form meatballs to small medium size and set in fridge for 10-15 minutes.
- In a large pan on medium high heat, add meatballs. Cover and constantly rotate meat meatballs for about 12 minutes or until meatballs are fully cooked.
- Set aside to cool down.
Pickled veggies :
- Combine all ingredients, mix throughly and let sit in fridge until ready to assemble banh mi.
Spicy mayo :
- Combine all ingredients, mix and set in fridge until ready to assemble banh mi.
Banh mi :
- Toast baguette.
- Evenly spread the spicy mayo.
- Add meatballs, pickled veggies, cilantro, jalapeños and enjoy!
